this is bad idea for those with marginal or bad credit. The credit card companies will cut limits and cancel a whole lot of cardholders access to credit. I audited a sub prime credit card company many years ago. The defaults rates were staggering and they had to charge 20% just to break even with the defaults.
Even better than that. What does low interest rates encourage? More buying. but it is only 10% for one year. If you thought those poor people with those adjustable rate loans on the houses that they couldn’t afford were bad, just wait till people run up their credit cards at 10% only to find at the end of one year that rate adjust upward to about 30%. Talk about your default.
What’s the problem? If the CC company doesn’t think you’re worth less than 10%, they’ll close your account. I have no problem with tightening borrowing, the only problem is the black market

The problem is this.… While Congress doesn’t generate a bill for him to sign, they take his shitty proposals and introduced him as a Bill. For example, back in May, Trump proposed a “tariff rebate”. The following day, your senator Josh Hawley introduced a Bill for a $600 tariff rebate. That’s the executive branch driving the legislative branch. The bill is gone nowhere, but it always could depending on how much they want to kiss his ass.

No. But it’s still out there. But here’s a thing… When they sit back and they let Trump do whatever he wants to do and nobody stands up to it, it opens the door for the bad guys to do the same thing. So it’s best for them and for everybody if they stand up and say “wait a second that’s our job“ . Kind of funny because every Republican running for reelection is running on all these wonderful Tax cuts that they provided but that they have nothing to do with. That big beautiful Bill was introduced debated and voted on in a month. They provide provided no input it all came from Trump and Project 2025
