I agree with some of the top 10, haven’t even heard of some of them and think some should be much closer to number 1.
BTW it’s a slide show but is quick to get to number 1.

yeah no. The top don’t make sense I forgot about raising hope
I dropped cable about 10 years ago and the ones I’ve never heard of outnumber the ones I know.
I scanned the pics and didn’t see either of the Bob Newhart shows, or Mary Tyler Moore. Also, Cheers and Frasier were way down the list. They did include several that I watched a very few times and found the so-called humor very contrived and the shows not watchable. These are a very long way from being the top 100 comedies of all time.
My kids make fun of me for watching RIck and Morty.
My son and I watched Galavant when it first came out, it definitely was better than the ratings showed. We watched it again last year and he looked at me (now 19 years old) and couldn’t believe I let him watch it as a kid.
I never heard of most of them. The best that wasn’t mentioned was Designing women, Becker, 2 1/2 men, Quincy, just to name a few.
I don’t know if Quincy would classify as a “sitcom”, but I remember watching it every week.
A classic opening credits scene.
That show was so good.
Seems there’s a recency bias in the list. MTM not even in the top 100, but some pretty mediocre ones made it.
I love Lucy?
Yeah, I don’t recall that one either. Like I said, serious recency bias.
better lists
That’s a much better list.
It was #28.
WKRP in Cincinnati
yes it should be on any list
I didn’t see All in the Family in there either.
That’s because a lot of people today can’t see the humor in the show. I’ve even seen it referred to as an example of racism.
A cancel victim…much like Blazing Saddles. If people would take a deep breath and actually watch them, they would see that the racists are the butt of the jokes and look like fools most of the time.
There was a lot of racism in the show. That’s kinda the point. Archie was often referred to as “the lovable bigot.”
