I think Dana White made sure to book good fights, and the fighters mentality was “this is the biggest stage I will ever be on, let it all out”. Every fight ended with a knock out, and thus does not mean they were not evenly matched, it means the fighters didn’t spend any time “feeling out” the opponent, they just went out and threw down.
To each their own. I never cared for boxing, as i didn’t understand the attraction of beating another human being into a senseless pulp, and UFC is that times two. I just don’t get it. FWIW, I don’t get the way the NFL has “progressed” to a similar point where people tune in for violence.

There were actually less fights.
There is usually an “early prelim”, “prelim”, and “main card”, with 13-15 total fights.
This card only had 7 fights total with two of them being title fights.
From what I can tell. The crowd was huge and excited.
