My favorite songs

I need to open a Gordon Lightfoot play list on Spotify

Gordon is my favorite artist of all time. Favorite type music of mine is Folk rock.

Here is another one of Gordon’s lesser known songs.

That would be worthwhile. With some artists, I tend to gravitate away from the ‘big hits’ to some of their lesser known songs. Here’s one of those from Jim Croce:

I remember watching this episode of “The Donna Reed Show” in 1962 when Paul Peterson introduced his hit song “My Dad”

I, also, remember watching this episode of “The Donna Reed Show” when Shelley Fabares introduced her hit “Johnny Angel”

BM, here’s a different take by the master guitarist Jesse Cook and Melissa McCelland.

I am probably one of the very few people who did not like the Broadway Musical “Cats” but I love this song from it.

I prefer Susan Boyle’s version of Memory

I can’t speak for the Broadway version, but the movie version was pretty much universally hated.

The London production of Cats ran for 21 years while New York’s Broadway production of it ran for 18 years. That is an extremely long time for a Broadway Musical and it ran for so long because most people loved it.

Yeah, I’ve only been to NYC once and my boss at the time told me I must see a Broadway play while I was there. It was still playing. But, I kinda wanted to say to my boss, “you know what you pay me, right?” It wasn’t feasible.

This clip of Dean Martin singing “That’s Amore” is from the 1953 movie “The Caddy”
