Someone on sports radio this afternoon made the comment;
“Maybe hiring your beer buddy as head coach wasn’t the best idea”.
I mean to reply to this one earlier. If you go to the game, one alternative you might want to consider is Metro C (formerly Metro Green) Line. You can get off at the Hawthorne/Lennox Station and catch a free shuttle bus to and from the stadium on game days. When I saw the Rams play the Bills earlier I drove to the closest Metro C Line station to me and then took the train to the Hawthorne/Lennox Station. I preferred that to driving all the way to the stadium. The traffic around there is very bad on game days, and the parking is outrageous. Time-wise it was probably a wash, but hassle-wise I came out much better too.

I am guessing the stadium will be like a morgue for that game, definitely nothing like was anticipated before the season started. That reminds me of the time in 2001 when my brother was living in New Orleans and we were going to fly there and see the Saints - 49ers game in the second week. Those teams played in the same division at the time and were big rivals, plus the Saints had won the division the previous year after the 49ers had dominated it for a long time. It was going to be big game. However 9-11 happened and the week two games were all postponed to the final week. By the time that came around the Saints had lost three straight and fallen out of the playoffs, so the game didn’t mean anything. The final score was 38-0 49ers, and it seemed like it was twice as bad. The atmosphere at the game was almost as lousy as the football itself.
Back to the Rams game: Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. If the tickets drop in to the single digits I might actually join you. ![]()
This past week I saw some Indianapolis Colts fans, and of course I asked them what they though of them hiring Jeff Saturday. First they started trashing Frank Reich, and I said I was not talking about Reich. On Saturday they said he was one of their favorite players and that he couldn’t be worse than anybody else out there, etc. They had every rationalization out there.
