We’re going in circles here Beemer, we get it you wouldn’t defend your own kid if he was wrongly accused of being a racist in the national media. I would.
Guess im out of touch completely here. Im protective of my young children and i teach them not to care what a blogger thinks about them.
Looks like every other dad on this board would put their 9 year old on FOX to defend them against a blogger. I am a square peg in a round hole, im good with it!
Had the right wing media ignored this guy, the blogger would have remained pretty much unknown. But they did. I don’t’ think the dad went to Fox News, I think they contacted him and he had visions of his 15 minutes of fame.
What I don’t gtet…they said the kid was native American…yet we hear that Native Americans want the “offensive” sports teams names…like “Chiefs” to be changed. And they don’t like the tomahawk chop and they don’t like Indians to be stereotyped/ So this native American kid with what I assume are native American parents is attending a game dressed in native american war outfit. Seems like they would be the LAST people wanting to send their kid to a sporting event for an offensive team. I wonder if he did the tomahawk chop after a touchdown.
That’s true, and they’re owned by a media company that owns many niche sites. The writer of the article is more than a blogger. Deadspin is supposed to be a sports related investigative site. Hulk Hogan sent the first Deadspin into bankruptcy when they strayed outside of their boundary. Maybe this family can do the same.
He writes for the Washington Post sports page and is a a lighter version of Carron J. Phillips. By that, I mean he is a bit more polished in his writing. I have cited a few of his columns here as examples of bad pieces.
Edit to add: my point being it is not just “some blogger”, alleged “journalists” from the main stream media have picked it up and are going after this kid.
