Are there any foods that you like but are trying to avoid them for health reasons
I will answer my own question I do not need any prescription medication and would like to keep it that way for as long as possible. So I try to limit my intake of foods that have a lot of sodium, sugar, and fat.
I made ice cream a couple of weeks ago. Can’t eat much of it because things very high in both sugar and fat cause me stomach problems. Can’t eat grapefruit because it interferes with meds.
I try to limit processed foods and go for whole real food like fruit, veggies, meat and things with fewer ingredients listed. I try to eat 80% good stuff and 20% not so good.
A lot of health issues are inherited, genes passed down. I’ve known a couple of people that led a healthy lifestyle and still had problems. I do wonder why we’ve been led to believe we need to eat 3 meals a day. While our bodies are always busy digesting food, it can’t work on repairing cells or anything needing attention. That’s just my own personal thoughts on the 3 meals a day. Eat because you’re hungry, not because it’s lunch time.
I agree. Also stop eating when you’re full, a lot of people were raised to finish everything on their plate. We don’t go to many buffet or all you can eat places but do like a nice brunch, I tend to over do it because I want to get my money’s worth.
Diet anything. I worry it causes brain issues.
I heard orange soda is bad too
Grapefruit is my favorite
Nothing wrong with grapefruit in general. It just interferes with certain medications.
