I’m sure a lot of people would want him permanently maligned and his grave smeared with shit since he was in the Nazi army.
But it’s easy to forget how huge the Nazi movement was. There were tons of pawns just trying to do their jobs, and I imagine many of them did not know what was really going on in those Holocaust camps until afterwards.
Sounds like he joined to fight the Russians. Communist and Nazis weren’t that different.
As my polish friends say, the Nazis at least made things better.
