What would you do if you had uveitis and your eye doctor said since all treatments stopped working you need a vitrectomy but you know one would be risky because your eyes are inflamed from uveitis
Iām not knowledgeable enough to have an opinion. One thing you can do is ask the doc what they would do in your place. And/or, get a second opinion.

Are you seeking a specialist for uveitis? If not go see a specialist.
The lucky thing about being a woman of means if you can get several opinions.
A good question to ask, is if has to have this surgery, what surgeon would you use.
When my wife needed a major surgery, we asked that question and only 1 doctors named came up. Luckily we already knew him. I thought he was an arrogant prick but seems like he was as good as he thought he was.
