But this idea is stupidity on another level.

The Make Billionaires Pay Their Fair Share Act
The rich already pay the lions share of income taxes, how about getting more people to contribute to running the country?
how dare you use facts
Are you saying I should think less of you because you provide labor for a company and you aren’t the CEO of that company?
None of them would be rich with us.
Lol…your life does not suck because somebody has more than you. ![]()
If rich people didn’t pay taxes, who would, you? ![]()
Yes, me and YOU and every taxpayer. Taxes should be for the good of our country and people. The way you talk about the working poor is disgusting by itself.
Oh smart one, why aren’t you the CEO of the company you provide labor for?
I don’t look down on anyone without knowing their circumstances.
I agree, but half of the country doesn’t think they need to pay taxes and expect those who pay the most to pay more. Fuck them.
The claim in the image is substantially true, and the numbers are backed by newly released 2025 corporate filings analyzed by the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP). The graphic simplifies the data, but the underlying facts match what independent tax researchers have reported.
Umm. I have spent several nights in his hotels. I never once had to clean the toilet, but I did feel sorry for the person who did.
They didn’t avoid taxes. They paid what they were required by the tax code. All of those companies are capital intensive.
They “avoid” taxes by following the tax policy set by Congress. Just like you “avoid” taxes by taking deductions.
“Analyzed” by a far left whacko group.
Unless they find them violating the tax law, they are doing except what everyone else does.
Yep, the evil rich use the tax code to their advantage just like lower income people do, but for some reason lefties only get pissed about rich people doing it.
After finishing our 2025 tax returns, I find it incredibly hard to believe that we are not paying our fair share. Those near the wacky left end of the political scale throw that phrase around to describe legislation that is actually the opposite of fair. I would be happy to pay my true fair share, so long as every other taxpayer and I pay the same percentage of our income as taxes.
Oh, BTW, I think any form of federal wealth tax would be deemed unconstitutional.
A article I posted yesterday shows we have the most progressive system in the world. So we are not a fair system.
I 100% agree with this.
But, at the risk of slightly hijacking my own thread, I have a question.
I think anyone with a brain would feel the same regarding taxing unrealized capital gains, isn’t that basically what property taxes do when they go up? Do you think if this somehow got to SCOTUS it would be found unconstitutional?
It’s the same as a wealth tax.
If they want, they could just tax it like income.
I would vote for anyone who really tried to simplify the tax system.
How did they avoid taxes? I suspect it is from full deprecation for massive infrastructure spending but I don’t know. Are they cheating or taking legitimate tax deductions?
