Update on my BMW problem

They still don’t have the remedy for the car after nine months but I sold it to the BMW dealer yesterday A sales person came to the house yesterday morning to look at it and take a few photos to show to her manager. Then she came back yesterday afternoon to give me a check for it, have me sign a few papers, cancelled the registration for it on line, took off my plates and replaced them with the dealers plates so it was no longer my car when they picked it up. She told me that they won’t be able to resell it until they have a remedy for it but that is no longer my problem

Glad you no longer need to worry.

That’s going to hurt their reputation, having this string along so long.

BMW doesn’t have a strong reputation anyway when it comes to reliability.

About 9% of Americans have no driver’s license. I’m not sure how many have a license, but not Real ID. If people don’t travel and expect not to, they may not bother to get one.

Mcarley, what are you talking about?

I think Bridge posted to the wrong thread yesterday and deleted it, but not before McCarley responded. There was a thread about voter ID at the same time.

My son almost bought a CX-5, they had 0% for 3 years but decided to keep his 2015 Escape for a few more years.

They are updating CX-5 next year

During the nineties I had a turbo charged Mazda Millenia. That was one of my favorite cars but Mazda stopped making that model in 2002

You all are getting me interested in Mazdas. Definitely going to be comparing hard between Mazda and Honda on the next car buy.

Overall I am satisfied with my new Toyota, but not highly so. I think they’re too hot right now and the company is forcing through buggy products to meet demand and hold price points.

Maybe like Boeing with their airplanes.

test drive them The CR-V is not as much fun to drive but has more storage room I like the handling of my 2021 CX-5 and the nice interior I got one step down from top trim GT Reserve The turbo is great

Mazda has always been a “drivers car”. I had a 2016 Mazda 6 that was a really fun sports sedan…I bought a 2019 CX5 when I retired. It’s an SUV but it drives like a sports car. I just bought the “midrange” Touring model. Actually, that is just one level up from the base model, but the standard features and the interior fit and finish, it feels like a luxury SUV. I have a CX5, My neice in Texas has a CX5 and my niece in Pennsylvania has a CX9. My brother, who is very particular drove my CX5 and bought one for himself (traded a Toyota RAV4) and he drove his daughters CX9 and bought one of those for his wife. I’ve owned a lot of cars over the years, but my Mazdas have been far and away the best cars I’ve ever owned.

I’ve had a Rav4 and was definitely unimpressed all around.

It was…adequate. Nothing more. It had no pickup, and despite this still had shitty mileage. Cheap plastic parts. Poor placement of plug-in jacks/ports making things easy to break. Barf.

The only Rav4 I would consider is the “Prime” version (plug-in hybrid). But honestly now I will be more interested in seeing if Honda or Mazda has a competitor.

Based on the annoyances with Toyota’s infotainment system, any tie will go to the aforementioned.
