Hands down revolutionized late night TV.
Absolutely. I watch him today and am amazed by his rapport with his guests, especially the non-celebrity guests.
Probably Carson, but I think I might have liked Cavett if I’d seen him more.
Cavett was before my time, loved Carson, Leno was okay but not as good as Johnny. Letterman was hit or miss, we’d watch him when we got home from the bars in the early 90’s. He had decent musical guests you wouldn’t see on other shows.
