This is the Library of Celsus in Ephesus, Turkey which was built in 135 AD. I took this photo during our cruise from Barcelona to the Greek Isles and Turkey in 2008.

My house was built in 2001. It’s in almost as good a shape.

I love photos of ancient architecture/infrastructure. I find it fascinating to look at how these civilizations utilized their resources, despite being thousands of years of scientific/industrial evolution behind us.

Makes me wonder what buildings will look like 2,000 years from now.

Well at least the library doesn’t have to worry about mold

In central CA, it’s a must.

This is a photo of the Peterhof Cathedral of the Apostles Peter and Paul that I took during our Baltic Cruise to Russia in 2006.
