This is the Library of Celsus in Ephesus, Turkey which was built in 135 AD. I took this photo during our cruise from Barcelona to the Greek Isles and Turkey in 2008.
My house was built in 2001. It’s in almost as good a shape.
I love photos of ancient architecture/infrastructure. I find it fascinating to look at how these civilizations utilized their resources, despite being thousands of years of scientific/industrial evolution behind us.
Makes me wonder what buildings will look like 2,000 years from now.
