Thanksgiving Tragedy: Three Dead in Fiery 3 am Electric Car Crash

Damn and sad.

Speed was a factor. Ya think? HOw is this ugly assed thing marketed? Oh yes…zro to 60 in 2.6 seconds and it’s faster in quarter mile (actually the eighth mile) than a Porsche 911 when it’s TOWING a 911. So it’s top selling point is how fast it is…and aside from middle aged men with size issues, that speed really appeals to high school kids. Plus…it’s the safest fucking thing on the road because of it’s stainless steel heft. But it has those silly door handles that aren’t intuitive for EMS workers and the glass is famously hard to break. Such a safe vehicle. I wonder if the bodies will be in good enough condition to discover how much the forces of the collision were passed thru to the passengers, since stainless doesn’t crumple.

I find it interesting though…The WJ is quick to put a liberal bashing “poll” in articles, as they would had the Cybertruck been marketed as “green energy global warming” vehicle, but since the famous owner is now a part of their Fueher’s team, no poll about the cybertruck.

It was speed, careless driver that lead to the tragedy, it had nothing to do with the vehicle being electric. There was no battery fire, the car could have been powered by rubber bands for all the type of engine had to do with it.

KC, if you are replacing your appliances, check with your electric company to see if they offer any rebates. We just replaced our washer and got a $110 rebate. The rebate is part of their energy conservation efforts.

Ummmm, maybe start a new thread on this?

Tesla has one of the higher safety ratings. So yes. It’s safe vehicle.

Where is the government crash ratings on teh cybertruck? Oh yeah…there aren’t any,. Remember. this isn’t like any other Tesla…this is the Tesla that Elon designed to his specifications. YOU can find some fan boy sites that claim it’s a 5 start rating, but they are not the NHTSA ratings. They have Elon saying that he is “highly confident” that the Cybertruck is safter than other trucks, but it should be noted that he also said teh Cybertruck would cost $30,000 and his estimates on range and payload were a little off…but he was never 'highly confident" of any of those.

And the reason I am curious is because the selling point of this vehicle, aside from penis enhancement that owners feel, was that it’s FAST. A cybertruck pulling a Porsche 911 is faster than a 911 in the quarter (actually eighth) mile. And physics being what it is, Stainless Steel doesn’t “crumple” like other cars, such as the Model S, Y, X or 3 will do. So it will be interesting to see if they can determine how well the vehicle actually protected the occupants.

I get you are an engineering experts but here is what the experts say. You’re wrong. Here is video proof you don’t know what you’re talking about. The cyber truck crumples.

Yep. That’s the issue for most accidents.

I don’t get the weird hate for electric cars. They’re wonderful to drive.

Translation:

KC hates Elon Musk — bc left wing propagandists told him to — and therefore the car caused the problem.

Well kc is the world best engineer. He sears the car won’t crumple even though the video shows it does.

Liberals like to make up weird stories about Tesla and that pronounce them as the truth

An object in motion tends to stay in motion. yes, the cybertruck “crumpled”. but with just a 'frunk" and no engine, one would think it would have crumpled more… But let’s shift our focus to the driver…specifically the neck. It sure looks like, despite the air bag, the “drivers” head kept moving and LOOKS like it bent backwards…much more then the neck of the dummy in the Ford.

The world has zero need for a 3 ton vehickle that can go from 0 to 60 in less than 3 seconds. But it looks good to high school kids and middle aged men with erectile dysfunction. When you compare its acceleration with a sports car, and a high school kid sees it, they are going to USE that power. And then get into a situation that is way beyond their control. This is the result.

Well that’s a scientific view of it. lol.

Crumple zones crumple based on the amount of energy they disperse. It isn’t by looks.

If you’d read the article you’d understand how the cyber truck disperses energy.

I’ll believe the physicists over elon musk. It didn’t crumple as much as teh Ford and the passengers seemed to have a bit of a harsher ride. I’ve seen an Audi split in half and the driver walked away. Again…it would be nice to know if the kids survived the crash and died in the fire or not. It wasn’t as safe as they were led to believe.

There is no evidence of that. Based on other Tesla models, Tesla is one of the safest cars out there.

Nope. Argument over right there. You have precisely zero authority, credibility, or clout to be deciding what other people need or don’t need.

That’s 100% their business and 0% yours.

It’s funny how the left needs someone to tell them what they can own.

HOw many of those models are remotely similar to the Cybertruck? I never said Teslas were unsafe, but the Cybertruck is. The Cybertruck is so unlike the other Tesla models that it doesn’t even have a Tesla logo on it.

The evidence doesn’t support what.
