I will comment on a sentence in that article… There it mention’s Tesla’s 750 kw mega chargers [essentially] fill it in an hour.
How do we stack that up? That would be 750 kwh. According to your electric bill, how many kwh did you draw last month? Mine is a bit over a thousand. In a MONTH. Get a grip on it, and we are going to use damned near as much in an HOUR as it takes to run an all-electric house for a month!
I declare, these things are an exercise in stupidity. Once again I will mention the ONLY reasonable EV application that I have seen, the Maid of the Mist tour boats at Niagara Falls. Run and charge with unlimited hydro power, something on the order of 24 cycles per working day. That makes sense; Tesla does not.
