Taxes vs. Necessities

Came across these charts today. I haven’t delved into the supporting calcs. I can say that we pay way more in total taxes than any other expenditures and, going from memory, more than everything else in total.

I am going to go out on a limb.
But I would guess that “The Committee to Unleash Prosperity” may have massaged the data to create a narrative.

Cherry picked might be a better description. Maybe a little definitional interpretation.

The group is led by Steve Forbes, Art Laffler and Steve Moore (former editorial page editor WSJ). Each of them are small government guys.

That phrase is going in my mental database.

Taxes are my highest spending category, they really add up.

I don’t know if definitional is a real word, but I liked the sound of it.
