Went outside this morning about 3 minutes after the launch. Saw this bright object moving across the sky. Thought this was the Rocket and how it was a “dud”.
Turned out it was just a satellite moving across the sky.
2 minutes later, the SpaceX showed up. Much more impressive than pictures can show.
It is his senior year, he has seen numerous.
He interned with NASA last summer and has an almost guaranteed job after graduation with them when he graduates.
I grew up in Orlando in the 60’s and we used to watch all the launches from Mercury thru Apollo. During school, they’d let us go out on the playground to watch. Mom and Dad took us to the Cape to watch Scott Carpenter go up in Aurora 7. That was the only one that I got to watch actually leave the launch pad.
