She is sleeping on a heat vent.
Looks pretty dang comfortable!!
Good for your cat!
Glad you are back @Rasputin
I use to have one that did that. You’d smell slightly cooked cat. Lol.
Does she sleep on vents ?
We had a kitty on our rv road trip and when the furnace kicked on shed go to the vent.
From the photograph I assume that you adopted the kitty.
If this is true you have my sincere admiration.
Our cat Jade is also adopted.
Thank you.
It looks like the kitty adopted him.
Yes he rubbed against me and I ended up with him
Here’s the story
That was a Friday I was coming into work and he rubbed against me and I petted him. I had a cat and did not want another. The cat I had was old and had enough stress in her life and I was determined to let her have peace. So a lady at work took him home.
That night my old cat was hanging out with me on the couch and threw up then jumped down to the dog pillow. She didn’t want to move again. I tried feeding her and give her water but it was her time. My son came over monday as it was his cat too and we took her to the vet and said goodbye
Went into work Tuesday and asked the lady about the cat and she said she was looking for a recuse group as she was allergic and her dogs didn’t like him. I told her I’ll be by after work to get him.
No good deed goes unpunished as it turns out he had one testicle that did descend and cost more during neutering to remove it. Fun times as he is very clean and attacked his stitches. They had to put a staple in and gave him a cone. He got cone off and pulled the staple. I had to use a onsie and the cone to keep him from the wound as the antibiotics did their job. It worked
It took him time to fully accept me and sleep in my lap. I have a shepherd mix and they get along great.
The two of them play together and he has very dog like habits. He will chase a ball, sleep on his back with his legs in the air, and lie on the floor in superman position.
He’s my last cat and the dog is my last dog. At least until the Lord decides something
That’s how I ended up with mine. It was supposed to be my daughters cat but she was going to be out of town a couple of weekendss in a row so I said I’d watch him two weeks and only move him around once. Less thatn 2 hours of him being in my house he rubbed against me, climbed on my lap and just purred. I couldn’t let him go. Mine was a rescue kitten - his mama was a feral cat and was hit by a car and killed when they were very young. Some friends rescued them and I got him when he was 7 weeks old.
We have radiant in floor heat. When we had a cat, she knew all the warmest spots and would sleep on them. She even knew the vanity that was warmest warm and would work the door open and sleep inside.
Here is Tuddy one of our most unusual cats whose favorite activity was sneaking upon the female cats and sticking his nose up there ass. They response of a female was that they would leap into the air and when they came down they would slap his face as hard as they could.
My wife says that Tuddy and I had a lot in common.
We lost Tuddy 2/5/21.
Nice
There was an old article that I could never tell if it was a joke or serious.
It talked about how cats were never domesticated. They just choose to live with you.
The theory was back when we were cavemen, they’d bring us meat, we’d cook it and feed the cat. We’d let them sleep in the bed.
No idea if it’s true but I will say my cat has brought me rabbits before
That cat is my spirit animal, but I’ve never been popped in the face at least.
