Clothing manufacturers, if someone wears an XL shirt, by definition they do not need or want a “slim fit”.

As for sock manufacturers, one size does not fit all.
Probably true for 99%. IDK who would want slim fit anyway, but I have broad shoulders and am a bit overweight. Hard to find stuff that fits.
