Shedeur Sanders

One has to wonder if this might instill some humility in dad and son. Now…does it mean it’s hopeless for Shedeur? Not really, and the reason can be summed up in two words - Brock Purdy.

To be quite honest, if Shedeur allows it, this may work out really well for him.
Whoever drafts him at this point already has an established QB, so he will have someone to mentor him. 2-3 years down the road he can be a starter and show if he really has it. Rookie starting QB’s have a really though time

Sean Payton commented that he’s seen him for years and is surprised at the fall. Thing is, he doesn’t need a QB.

That’s all it takes. Only a few teams very much need a qb and if they’re turned off, one can fall pretty far. It’s happened before.

If he allows it. The Rolex and having his college jersey retired kind of tells me that he doesn’t want anyone to mentor him.

Likely example of why Shedur was not drafted until round 5.

Can’t argue with that.

Yes, and Stephen A. Smith made a very valid point when he said that Shedeur Sanders fell in the draft because teams did not want to deal with his father.

He should have left it at that. That has a lot to do with it, along with the reports about Sanders’ entitled attitude and poor interviews. There are other similar examples in the past (Johnny Manziel comes to mind immediately along with JaMarcus Russell) which show how physical talent does not guarantee a quarterback’s success when his attitude is not in the right place.

Smith loses credibility when he compares Sanders to Kapernick. Nobody ever said that Kaepernick had a bad attitude or was bad for the locker room. To the contrary, all of Kaepernick’s coaches and teammates praised him in that regard. Kaepernick was blackballed from the NFL because he was doing something that was flat-out bad for the NFL’s business - period. I have said before that had Kaepernick not knelt during the National Anthem he would have been signed by an NFL team as at least a back-up, with possibly the opportunity to compete as a starter. The situations of the two quarterbacks are totally different.

Jamaal Bowman to the rescue…

An attempt to make himself seem relevant to something by playing some form of race card. Apparently, he didn’t bother to look at the players drafted before Sanders. Seems to me that were many “strong black men”, including QBs, that were drafted early and often.

Bowman and Donald Trump on the same side.

There is a great video of Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders working out together that basically tells the story.

Kfc is in on the discussion.

I sent that meme to my son!

Not saying Shedeur is the next Tom Brady but he was the sixth QB drafted that year and he turned out ok.

Yes, but Brady didn’t have his dad retire his college jersey number just after graduation, nor was he flashing a Rolex and drving a Bentley before the draft.

Husker Twitter is having a heyday over that watch.
