RN vs BSN

I never heard of a BSN before I read this article so I thought I would share this article

A young lady who used to work for me went back to school after her kids were born and got her BSN. I asked what the difference was, she said with a BS there was a lot more opportunity for advancement, usually the pay was a better, and as a nurse you were held in higher regard.

My daughter is an RN but is working on her BSN. When she was getting started (pre pandemic) everybody said she couldn’t get a job without a BSN. Just after the pandemic, nurses were in demand so she had a job before she graduated and got her RN. She can do pretty much anything that a BSN can do, but without it, her chances for advancement are not as good. Although even as an RN, her pay is pretty darn good.
