Do you remember when vacations were actually an escape from everyday life. You left someone an emergency number where you can be contacted at sea but otherwise you didn’t have any phone contact while you were on a cruise. You’d bring a book to read but not read any newspapers. Your biggest decisions to make were what fun things can I do today. You would meet a lot of nice people and exchange phone numbers so you could keep in touch after the cruise ended
We’re too conected. I used to try to take at least one vacay a year without even looking at email. The more responsibility i get, the harder that is.
We just did that.
We didn’t pay for the Wi-Fi package so we were basically off the grid
I’m going on a camping trip next week. No cell phone service and limited wifi. If you need to get a hold of me, go out to the bank and yell for me. I will be fly fishing in the river.
This is a big reason I used to like going to Boy Scout camp with my son.
10 days unplugged
Nothing to do with vacations, here is a picture of a 15 pound 8 ounce bass[[not me in the picture]. State record in Massachusetts, caught in 1975 while ice fishing.
On a side note, the guy lived in the same city as I did at one time.
Don’t fool with no Facebook
No Twitters and tweets

If you want to talk to me
Now, don’t send me no email
Send me a female!
