That is a very poorly written article. The headline makes it sound like a done deal, but the article itself says discussions are still underway

That logo isn’t insulting at all. The name, yes. but that logo evokes a brave warrior and is kind of fitting for a sports team. I’m not sure why the Cleveland Indians changed their name…yes, Chief Wahoo was racist as hell, but the word Indian isn’t. But my fear is that fans of the Chiefs and Braves will be forced to change their name as long as the fans keep doing the “tomahawk chop”.

If the woke movements gains momentum again, it may happen. I see woke going beat down right now because people are tired of the drama.
OH…neither Chiefs nor Braves is racist or offensive, but the many consider the tomahawk chop to be racist. If the fans continue to use it, there will be a push to change the team name to something that doesn’t evoke the chop. Maybe KC Beefs.
I like to return to the Redskins name. It’s the reason why I generally don’t watch football though I am heading to the commanders game with some Boy Scouts
