Quarter of a million dollars to go on a homemade sub

That looks nicer than what they actually went down in

Sounds like they had done this dive twice before. I’m just going off what I’m reading from random people.

They didn’t have an inspection after each dive which you typically would when using an experimental material.

Just a thought but it COULD b for National Security. By doing that there would be tons of questions about how they found it so quickly. And the could be some technology that we really don’t want to get out.

She put herself in that situation just like the people in the sub did. Her actions led to her being arrested.

She played basketball and was arrested for weed. By a foreign government. Which foreign government was holding these 5 people hostage in that propane tank?

It’s deja vu all over again.

I’m just wondering how a weed smoking basketball player is like adventurers going on a private excursion in international waters. Apparently there are more similarities that I should be aware of. I stand corrected.

You should have said that the minute Bears brought up Griner and left it at that. Or, for an alternative, not responded at all. Yet, you never seem to learn.

Because I can believe anybody is that bloody stupid.

As I said in another thread, he is not stupid at all. He knows exactly what he is doing.

Both are choices they made that put them in a shitty spot. Griner chose to bring weed into Russia and admitted she broke the law. The guys in the sub chose to go on an adventure they knew could be dangerous. Both are responsible for their situation.

Here’s a new one…the delay in notifying that they heard teh implosion is related to…Hunter Biden.

Not bragging, but I said this before. Carbon fiber-composite is not a good material for a pressure vessel. Metal has a much longer life before critical fatigue. It is why you don’t see turbofan engines with composite fan blades.

I know little of carbon fiber. I didn’t think it flexed like steel. I thought it was more rigid. At that depth it needs to flex to avoid cracking.

That being said, a helicopter mechanic told me that carbon fiber rotor blades are lasting much longer than the old metal ones. A paradox!
