Pool

I have an above ground pool. Heard that the salt water is highly corrosive to the pool wall. So still sticking with chlorine.

Now that I think, I may have heard that about liner pools that are saltwater too.

At the risk of being sent to the old folks home, $90K is twice I paid for my first two houses.

Fiber still comes with major repairs. My coworker is considering having his pool filled in because the cost to repair.

I am poor old country boy. I did the largest above ground pool (33’x54”). The amount of runoff and really shallow water table just doesn’t make in ground pool viable. I think I dropped about $4500 for mine during covid and DIY installed it. Its about 5 years old now and my girls can now swim and when the liner needs replaced, I will dig it out and install an expansion liner.

This is the video of it being dropped in.

Quick time lapse.

What kind of material for the deck? I’m unlikely to install a pool, but I’ve noticed some absorb heat.

The deck is wood.

We thought about composite, but the cost was crazy, and that is way out of my league to build (although I did do the fence)
