Ponzi scheme

I don’t like Trump and Elon are handling things BUT I like the idea of cleaning up the size of the government. Had it been more organized, I think it would look better. This looks like a sloppy cluterfuck.

Not if you can print money and shrug your shoulders at inflation.

That won’t go on forever. If the ancient Romans were not dead, you could ask them all about it.

Literally the dumbest thing you will ever read on Social Security!!

And that is saying a lot, I have read what Bernie and Robert Reich have written about it.

Liberals do not have a clue about finance or economics…

They seem to think it’s free money. They don’t get the cost of that ‘free’ money. They pay 6% and their employer pays 6%. It isn’t free.

And where is that 6% the employer is paying coming from?

from the employer.

While I agree with the underlying concept, and question the longer term viability of S/S, the poster’s math is a bit off. I presume the calc is based on paying today’s max S/S amount during one’s working life. Today. max S/S benefit at full retirement age is $48,216 at full retirement age and $61,296 at age 70.

And where is the employer getting from?

Its coming from the top line of your paycheck
