Earlier on the CHB when the Buffalo Bills were up for sale and Trump was bidding to buy them I talked about how I would not know what to do if he had purchased my favorite team. From what I read later, it was never really a possibility, since even if he had managed to win the bidding, which he did not, the NFL owners would have blocked his ownership. There is still a lot of residual memory about what Trump did and tried to do to the NFL in the 1980s.
As I recall, they won and got something like $2.
They were awarded $1, which was tripled to $3 under anti-trust law.
If there were 30 NFL teams at the time, that’s a dime each. (Might have been 28, I don’t recall).
