I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that we call it autism merely because Nazis used the work of Hans Asperger to eliminate undesirables.
I have / had (lol) PDD-NOS as it is called autism or technically if you’re not “autistic” it’s SPCD. I also had ADHD and NVLD which are all the same group of neurodevelopmental disorders.
I think if we erase history, we are doomed to repeat it thus I like keeping even the ugly parts of history instead of trying to cleanse it and I use that term intentionally. I’m also a fed who supports slashing the government though I might
But we have a health director who basically says taht we should institutionalize people with autism or aspergers because they will be unable to function in society. One has to wonder how many kids who didn’t have autism died because they didn’t get the vaccine because the science of an NFL training room (or a comedy club) proves that vaccines cause autism.
Even why it’s more appropriate to have the courage or fortitude to be willing to say that Hans Asperger’s work led to the extermination of autistic people and why people should still be diagnosed with Asperger’s - autism cheapens the experience of those who were killed or who survived the Holocaust despite being crippled
