So singing along with a rap song can cost you a scholarship. It was stupid to post it on social media, but lots of high school kids do stupid stuff. If the kid had been black would the same thing have happened?

“different standards are applied”, You are absolutely correct but why are different standards applied, especially when there is no ill intent. Absolutely no logic involved in that.
I just did a very quick Google search and found one example of a black athlete who had his scholarship rescinded after making a social media post.
