Paystub for JR pilot

Saw this on reddit. Does that seem right for someone who is 28? Years ago I knew a pilot and he made like 80K out of the airforce.

$300K is about what I would expect.

At work we have a few private jets and several pilots on staff. We lost many of our pilots after covid to the major airlines. I recall an ad on the radio where a major airline was offering a $250ZK signing bonus. Our pilots went from making less than $100K prior to covid to over $200K today.

33% to taxes per pay period

I didn’t see Social Security, and i doubt it’s under Federal withholding, unless they break it out on their W2 forms./

OASDI - Old Age, Survivor and Disability Insurance (i.e., Social Security)
