So, we came back from our trip and my teenage immediately tests positive for Covid. I talked to his doctor’s office this morning and for some reason, they want him to come in for a visit before prescribing Paxlovid. Anyone have knowledge of Paxlovid for teens?
I took it, but I am over 50.
IMO, the teenage immune system, and the fact that the variants are significantly weaker than ever, it would be better to just let it run its course.
And if I remember, you have to take it within 48 hours of symptoms.
My understanding is first five days.
I would suspect they want to find the high risk scenario. Unless something has changed, it’s all for high risk cases
