I suspect a lot of Packers’ fans are going crazy about this (including some friends of ours here who I heard from this morning):
The game will be on Fox in Green Bay, Milwaukee and Chicago. I don’t think it’s going to be on some of the smaller markets in Illinois and Wisconsin.
I expect to see the rule that requires the NFL to televise games over the air in the cities where the teams are from will be abolished within 3 years, requiring even “home” teams to pay to watch it.
It’s already happening with NHL games. 15-20 games are only available on ABC stations (includes ESPN1, 2, + and news, TBS, TNT). For half or so of those games, those stations are the only carrying the game and there are no local broadcasts. Those games are scheduled for a time that meets network needs.
I have Dish Network. The rebroadcast of the game is on the NFL network, from 12:am to 3:am.
Will DVR the game and watch it Sunday morning. Only downside is that the network does skip over a few plays during the game.
I have Prime and watched part of the game, but I turned it off after Green bay went up 21-3. Then I get up this morning and see the Bears won. Must have been a great 4th quarter.
The Bears have won 7 or 8 games this year while trailing at the end of the fourth quarter.
A local bar had a deal that any food ordered before 7: 30 for the Bears-Packers game would get a full refund if the Bears won and Caleb Williams threw for over 300 yards.
I hope they had some sort of insurance to cover that. Because in a bar, the beers usually DO win.
I fixed it. Speech to text picked up what I meant the first time I said Bears but not the second for some reason.
I know. It happens to me a lot with speech to text.
YouTube also has the NFL game recaps soon after the games.
I did the reversd and turned it on in the fourth quarter. The Packers’ kicking game did not help them at all.
I hope the same does not happen to the Bills.
If the 4 major sports could get their schedules in sync (NFL & NBA quarters, NHL 3 periods, and Baseball 9 innings), or use of a game, they could show 25% of each game in one sitting.
Not the happiest since I chose the Bills and the Packers for the Super Bowl from the start of the season
