This song was written in the early 1930s, recorded by the iconic bluesman Robert Johnson in 1937, by the sultans of western swing Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys in 1946, by country artist George Strait and many others. These are the versions by the King, shortly after he was signed by Sun Records in 1954, and the 1960 version by, perhaps, the Crown Prince.
The song âWhere or Whenâ was written by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart in 1937 for their Broadway Musical âBabes in Armsâ and 22 years later Dion and the Belmonts did a cover of it which became a top ten hit in early 1960.
These are links for the original 1937 version by Ray Heatherton, the well known cover by Dion and the Belmonts, and another beautiful version of it by Barbara Cook.
As long as the subject is âOldies but goodies,â go to 2:04 of this clip from MASH with an oldie but goodie from Corporal Klinger.

@PricePerformer Price Performer - My mother loved this song by Teresa Brewer and your post brought back wonderful memories of being in the car with my loving mom when this song was on her car radio.

A few different versions of âYouâll Never Walk Aloneâ
The Righteous Brothers were the first pop or rock performers that I saw perform, in October 1965.
The second performers I saw were the beach Boys in October 1966, and the flood of my money for tickets began.
This is my favorite Beach Boys song. It was an album cut, not a hit single, but it simply captured the feeling of the time and place and made you want to be in that song.
My first concert was the Beach Boys 25th Anniversary tour in the mid 80âs.
Spent a lot of money on all their old cassette tapes after that.
I saw them again in the late 1970s, but the show just didnât pop like the first time. In 1966, they still wore the striped shirts and white Levis and drove out onto the stage on Honda 50s - and the crowd went berserk. I never had their cassettes, but did have most, if not all, 45s and LPs. Those are now gone and I have load of their CDs.
