Okay WMJ

I remember talking about this on the CHB. This reminds me of Olympic Stadium in Montreal. It was supposed to have a retractable roof and be a the latest and greatest in stadiums. At first they never put it on, which left a hole there which screwed up the lighting and left for some large shadows. Then when the finally put it on, they found out that the retraction mechanism would not work when they couldn’t get it closed once when it started raining during a game. They ended up making it a permanent dome. That stadium has to have one of the worst made in memory, not to mention the costliest.

I agree. I am glad that Buffalo never built a domed stadium in the early 1970s as they had originally planned, and I hope they never built one. I have also said that I don’t think it is a coincidence that the Minnesota Vikings went to the Super Bowl four times in eight years when they played outdoors but have never made it back since moving into domed stadiums.
