Not protecting women's sports

Yeah as a male, I felt for that poor woman being beat up by that man!

How unjust! What’s up with the IOC allowing this!

This is absolutely disgusting and despicable.

This is what the Democrats are supporting. Pure evil.

I hope this might be a turning point. When this Italian woman worked her ass off to be an Olympic boxer, should could not have imagined she’d be in the ring with a dude. I didn’t see video but the pic of the woman in obvious pain while the man is grinning is utterly disgusting.

I say calls a trans her but for god sakes, don’t let them beat on women. They need their own division in the Olympics.

I wonder what the dem candidate for the presidency has to say about this?

I saw an article that said while the opponent did have “significantly higher” levels of testosterone, they were born female but had XY chromosomes. So I wonder…if the the Italian woman would have tested with the same level of testosterone (steroids) would she have been disqualified? Maybe the IOC can allow women athletes to take steroids to “level the playing field”.

The problem is the testosterone is only part of the issue.
Muscle mass, bone density, etc. are a huge difference between sexes.

The Democrat position is that if they feel like a woman then they are a woman. Its just one of many baffling positions. Its probably going to take a girl getting killed before the Left cares.

We don’t need a separate division for .01% of the population. There is already a solution backed by science and common sense and the FINA study.

I am the last person who would ever defend this. But apparently this person was born a female, but had the XY chromosome. But if this person was producing higher levels of testosterone, even as a female, then they are not the same thing. There need to be limits on testosterone levels, and if they exceed that, then they’re out. The number of people who truly were born female, with male chromosomes, is even smaller than the number of males who identify as females. And sadly, that might mean there are certain things they can’t participate in.

That is it in a nutshell

She isn’t trans. She a woman. She has genetic defect.

This isn’t a trans person. This is a woman.

Agreed, but the XY chromosome is the reason the IBA disqualified her, correctly.

That isn’t my understanding of it. She was disqualified because of her testosterone levels.

She’s elevated but not to a man level. Look at her arms. She’s got some guns

The IBA did a “gender test” which showed the XY, not just a testosterone check, I believe they didn’t even do a testosterone check.
The IOC has been accepting the judgement of International Governing bodies, but is in a pissing match with the IBA, so they don’t accept their judgement.

I actually don’t blame the boxers, I blame the IOC for being idiots.

What’s the pissing match about?

To my mind, when discussing women’s sports, it isn’t relevant whether someone is trans or was born with XY chromosomes or some other defect.

If she is part man, regardless of the underlying story, then she does not belong in women’s sports. Too much natural advantage.

I pity people in her position, who will encounter social barriers and other difficulties. But destroying women’s sports is not the way to show compassion.

That is the tricky part. She is a woman, not a man but she is in between when it comes to strength.

There isn’t enough people to form their own class and she would lose against men.

It is one of those situations where life isn’t fair.

The only thing I have read is a vague statement regarding the IBA having a corruption issue. But the IOC is so corrupt I can’t imagine any agency being worse than them
