It’s even funnier when you catch up with them and you’re riding a bicycle. I’ve done it many times. Sometimes if I’m feeling ornery, I roll past them on the right. A REALLY good day is when they fly past you again, only to discover a speed trap ahead.
If you are old enough when the # sign was pound and not hashtag, the #metoo movement takes on a whole new meaning.

There’s a large pond/small lake a couple towns over that would dump a few thousand trout in the springtime and then have no fishing until first weekend of May. It was also no live bait, years ago my first time there I was using Berkeley crappie nibbles which are stinky tiny marshmallows in bright colors and I was pulling a fish in almost immediately after I cast. After a few minutes of this about half the other fishermen had me surrounded.
What’s the reasoning for this restriction? Not wanting to disrupt the ecosystem with foreign live specimens?
I have no idea, it might have been no live bait only for the opening weekend, it was a long time ago.
Damn, condolences. Wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
