I think I found my new truck project. It’s been in the family since the early 1950’s. I think it’s a 1948 2 ton. It looks like it’s in good condition. Just needs a little bit of everything. It even has a 70 year old title that looks like it was made with typewriter on a post card size piece of paper.
I’d imagine I could do a engine and frame swap fairly easy. I’d guess about $6-7k plus parts I already have and I could start driving it.
Next time i go to grandmas house i need to take my chainsaw and weedeater to get a full evaluation. There is a decent size tree that is growing through the frame
Yeah. Less rust than a 10 year old northern truck. I bet the frame is useable but I have a 08 F350 frame that I was planning to scrap. I might be able to utilize it to put a modern suspension where it is actually drivable.
