We definitely need to drastically cut spending and get more people actually paying taxes instead of just punishing the 50% that are paying taxes right now. I’d like to see income taxes lowered and consumption taxes increased, everyone should have some skin in the game.
I agree; Ted Cruz is a bad idea. But we’re stuck with him for a bit.
Some states are seeing what happens when they raise taxes too high on the evil rich, they leave. It’s great for states like Florida and Texas.
The tariff is an unnecessary tax. Trump is going after this trade imbalance as if it’s a contest in the one with the lowest score wins. It’s not. And I’d rather not pay for Trump to win this way.
I guess we should add you to the people who think that we need a tax cut.
IN Europe the middle class and poor pay more taxes. We should be more like Europe.

The tariffs are a tax that have been dictated to us thru one man, not congress. I do not believe that we should be subject to taxes that have not been passed by congress. If you support the tariffs, which I believe you do, they you support tax increases.
I am against raising taxes without sustained cuts to spending.
For every three years of spending cuts, you get a tax increase.
I would like to see a balanced budget. It would be painful but we need it.
Except that Congress previously delegated a lot of tariff powers to the President, so those powers were passed by Congress. What are the contentious issues are the situations under which the Prez can use tariff powers. Congress needs to clarify that language, instead of having a court case every time the Prez imposes or changes a tariff.

Yes…I forgot when Obama and Biden implemented blanket worldwide tariffs and tariffs because “I don’t like the way she talks”. Wait…they never did that.
