I met him in the mid 70’s when I worked at Neiman Marcus in Dallas. He was exceptionally nice and chatted with me…just a teenage kid in a suit. Just super personable.

Sedaka was a hit machine from 1958-63, as well as a regular on American Bandstand and numerous TV shows. Everyone thought the Beatles and other rockers in the 60s into the 70s pushed him off the charts for good. Then, in 1974, he comes up with another #1.
