If you have never been to Nashville, I suggest going.
If you have been before, I suggest going back. We are already making plans.
First day went to Nashville Backstage at 3rd and Lindsey, many locals were not aware of it.
Songwriters on stage singing their songs and telling story’s, ended with Roger Cook, most famous song, “I’d like to teach the world to sing”.
Went to the Opry that night, amazing!! Got to see my favorite reggae artist’s debut.
The rest of the time we went to the Country Music HOF and Studio B, toured the Ryman, took an open air bus tour of the city, ate at both Hot Chicken places, Princes and Hattie B’s.
Played golf at a course that literally had sheep grazing.
Last day there, I was on my own so I went to a whiskey/moonshine tasting at an area called Marathon Village, then took a tour of National Museum of African American Music, very interactive experience.

Reggae at the old Ryman? Shreik!
I have been. It was over 50 years ago and Mama went with me. Don’t remember it real well but I think we saw Flatt & Scruggs, Minnie Pearl, and maybe Bill Anderson. I still remember some of the commercials from back then – the Martha White [self-rising flour] jingle, Beech Nut chewing tobacco, and Go get a Goo Goo, which you can still do at your local Cracker Barrell. .
