Who knows anything about multiple myeloma? BIL is currently being tested for it. I can read medical sources of course, but anyone have experience?

My brother has it. It’s common in people who lived by farming areas and is believed to be tied to farm chemicals.
Tom Brokaw was diagnosed with that in 2013. He is still going.

It use to be a death sentence. Now, it very treatable. If he responds well, he should expect a normal lifespan.
15 years ago, it was maybe 3-5 years. The treatment has grown exponentially.

I was asking my sister earlier if his dad had served in Vietnam, bc I’m reading that Agent Orange exposure is a risk factor. Seems he wasn’t there.
