I mostly agree. I do think we need to draw attention to black people who maybe were left out of the history books.

The list goes on and on for black people who were Americans that didn’t get the credit they deserved.
That’s a 20-30 year old clip, but clearly something that Mike Wallace wasn’t expecting or any response to. What I think that clip points out is that the more you attempt to unify people by identifying them as being part if a separate group and, perhaps, treating them differently, you just separate them even more.
