Can’t tell the difference between the Hawks and the Hawkeyes.

Or think enough listeners won’t care.

Congrats on getting out front on that one. The other Senator from the Snow Me State was nearly as clueless.

Always has been.
I haven’t voted major party for Senator in Missouri in decades

What was he trying to show anyway? That Smith might have been in the same city the day before an embarrassing announcement was made by someone in a tangentially related case?

I’ll take that as there are some minor party whackos more unqualified than the current incumbent recumbents.

That being said, the entire GOP performance was a certififiable shit show. Their one and only tactic was an attempt to ensnare Smith in a perjury trap. He calmly resisted every thrush. The winners were a 3 or 4 Dems who got a chance in remind those watching of the awfulness that Smith was attempting to prosecute until the election and courts put an end to it. If prosecution had proceeded, any jury not composed of Trump’s immediate family and some well-chosen billionaires would have had no problem declaring him guilty, on all counts.

Hell, Cousin Vinnie could have handled that case with success. Looks of video evidence and 8x10, color glossy photos with circles and arrows.

Can’t argue with that.

He’d have gotten those “two yoots” off easily.

Now, this is more clever than the Bee

Silver lining.
Insiders were considering him for a short list for VP to Vance.
This will hopefully take him out of he running.
And, maybe Klobuchar’s defense of Smith will draw her a little more back to the middle and put her in the spotlight toward a run.

You read her book?

No, and to honest, my queue is full enough I probably wouldn’t get to it by 2028, can you give me a 20,000 foot view?

Nothing super groundbreaking. Just selling herself as a moderate Dem who can work across the aisle and get shit done. And she has on occasion.

I can’t remember why she wasn’t a more viable candidate in 2020

She was in there. But the most important thing for voters was electability and when Biden won South Carolina, all the moderates unified around him. It seemed reasonable enough at the time.

Had Biden picked her instead of Harris she may be President now.

If Hillary had picked Cory Booker instead of blandass white dude, maybe we’d all be better off. Wouldda coulda shoulda.

Had Hillary won we would not be better off.
But that is for another thread.

I have long said that Ttrump’s first term was the price we had to pay to get the Clintons out of politics. It was a steep price, but worth it.

What both Clinton and Harris predicted if Trump was elected has proven to be 100% correct.
