The elderly in Florida live in rich communities, it is kind of been a Florida thing for decades.
My impression is the rich in Florida are getting some kind of priority in vaccination. My daughter just went to a swanky country club for her grandfather’s 80th birthday. She said all of the staff had been vaccinated, presumably because they are around rich old people.
But I don’t think it’s a big deal, I think we should just put shots in arms. It seems like Florida is doing better than Georgia, I’ve got friends that live here going to Florida and Alabama to get vaccinated.
Florida isn’t doing supremely better than most other states at getting shots in arms, it just seems like Georgia is doing real shitty at it.
