What are the differences between Uber and Lyft. I have only used Uber
Sometimes a minor fare difference. Recommend check both before booking.

When I was choosing a few years ago, the info online suggested that Uber had more reach outside the US, but also had a toxic corporate leadership. We were only going to New Orleans at the time, so we picked Lyft.
Both things may have changed by now, so who knows?
I usually see both on the car windows.
I’m usually the Uberpool person who goes like 40 miles so it can be a pricey share ride . One trip was $35-40 cheaper because I walked a mile at midnight from where I need to go
Distance to location was 46.8 miles. $95
Distance to where I walked from 45.4 miles $56
Walking a mile to save almost $40 was so worth it
One place I can assure you either one is sketchy: Alaska!
We did Alaska last year and did not get a car. In and around Anchorage was fine, I think Uber.
Go out, and you can fire up the app and order a car and nothing happens. Example for that was Soldotna. There were a couple of taxi services and they were good.
The hoot was Homer. We got on the ferry, destination Kodiak. Sure we will send you a car! Out there miles in the bay and your car will be along in 20 minutes ha ha!
I use Uber a dozen or so times a year and like it for what it is. My son has both apps but mostly uses Uber, he said they’re cheaper and usually there are more rides available.
Someone my wife knows in our neighborhood does Uber on his way to and from work, he works near O’Hare and he’ll take a ride each way and make a few hundred bucks extra a week.
