I don’t know what the mitigating circumstances are here, if any. It’s conceivable something like that could happen if the rehearsed maneuver with the others went wrong and the pilot had to break away to avoid a collision.
My guess is that is unlikely and this situation was a flight discipline issue. I expect that the pilot will be dealt with.
I find it exceedingly unlikely that Testosterone Man Bad had anything whatsoever to do with this, and find it hilarious that is the only thing lefties can manage to comment on in the wake of a situation like this.

The umbrellas and pop up canopies are like flying missiles when dislodged from the sand. Over the years, some people have been either killed or seriously injured.
