People usually don’t murder their kids either.

People usually don’t murder Somalis or trannies either.

I don’t see a difference. For some reason you’re sticking up for this sick bitch, and you’re twisting yourself into pretzels trying to rationalize why she would murder her kids as though that’s more understandable than murdering other people.

I’d say it’s less understandable, and I sure as shit wouldn’t be trying to defend her either way.

What if said person refuses to take the meds to make them sane. How is that different than the person who does PCP and goes insane?

If the husband did the exact same thing, I seriously doubt that all those women would be raising all that money and protesting.

There is a big difference between that and her situation. She was trying to seek help and the system failed her. She wasn’t refusing treatment, she was compliant with treatment. She wasn’t abusing her medication.

How many husbands have their hormones fucked up postpartum?

Men have mental illnesses also, not just women. If the husband was a paranoid schizophrenic and killed his kids, do you think those woman would be protesting?

Probably more than you think. Many men leave their baby momma after birth.

That’s a whole different problem.

Dealing with mental illnesses through the criminal justice system is asinine.

I would guess we are going to get a hung jury at this point. My guess is you have a couple holdouts that she is innocent and that her husband is somehow responsible.

They are not ruling if she’s innocent. She’s guilty or not guilty.

She can be sent to a mental facility for holding as well.

I haven’t followed the case super closely, but a hung jury in a situation like this wouldn’t be unusual.

I don’t think even her attorneys are arguing that her husband did it.

People have said the husband is responsible for leaving her alone with the children.

He’s not. Plenty of crazy people on the internet believe that he did it.

So will it be a hung jury or manslaughter? I doubt there will be murder and I doubt there will be not guilty by reason of insanity so I see a hung jury too

She’s not insane but if you get an insane jury, she might get acquitted

The issue is was she aware of her actions at the time.

I yet she killed kids but sometimes people do have psychotic breaks.

Here’s my problem with this rationale.

If she was unaware of her actions, why was she? Isn’t she responsible for maintaining control of herself, including avoiding situations that would put her in this state of mind?

Someone I worked with years ago got sloppy drunk, went out to his car to charge his phone and fell asleep/passed out. When he came to a while later, he was disoriented and confused, cranked his car, and proceeded to fly into a curb at 80 mph, rolling his car. Fortunately he injured neither himself nor anyone else, but the DWI ended his current career and changed his life forever.

He didn’t step to the car with the intent to drive, but he lost control of himself by making the bad decision to drink that much to begin with.

Was this lady thrust into an incredibly difficult situation by factors beyond her control? Short of something like that, I don’t think insanity pleas should get someone out of a sentence. When you kill others, or commit any other serious crime, there have to be consequences.

Otherwise, everybody is going to claim to be insane after committing a crime.

I see now the lawyer’s claims about her bipolar disorder and other hormonal anomalies.

I suspect those claims have been debated exhaustively in the courtroom.

Sloppy drunk and mental health issues are very different. If you look at what happened, she was given the wrong medications and has issues with care. She was compliant as far as I know.
