Not really, every book was a novel.
He published about 1 a year since 99.
Set in Florida, the main character was a schizophrenic serial killer with a conscience and a wild imagination.
Pretty much black comedy type.

My brother used to read the Mack Bolan ones. They were novels too, vigilante types, which is what I thought this guy’s was when you posted.
A few years ago, there was a mystery novelist who was writing one per year based on letters of the alphabet. They died missing the letter Z.
Similar character.

Dexter was one of the rare ones where the TV show was better than the books. At least until they fucked up the last season.

The last season of the original series was the worst ending to a show I’ve ever seen.
The sequel a year or two ago wasn’t great, but it made up for it a little bit.
That’s because books are still being written by other authors but the covers highlight “Tom Clancy” above the author’s name.
