I have lived here 37 years I have never seen this

It’s 80 degrees and getting cloudy here. Apparently there is a cold front with significantly cooler weather behind it. So the weather service is warning of nasty weather ahead. And for the first time since I have lived in Kansas (37 years) , businesses are closing early to send people home ahead of the storms. I’ve seen the do this in the winter, but never in the spring or summer months. It’s supposed to start in the next couple of hours. I hope we don’t have tornadoes since my basement isn’t finished and I’d rather not spend time down there.

2-3 weeks ago we were near 90 and sunny. Tonight, wind and temps falling below freezing, but the wind is already here. Talked to folks in Michigan, where they’ve had heavy rain and flooding.

They have recently done this in Oklahoma. It is relatively new concept around here. Last year, they cancelled school one spring day because big weather scared the living shit out of people. It was crazy. I think people are just afraid of their own shadow these days.
