Pretty funny. I grew up in Orlando and they never evacuate that far inland, but we did have the plywood up over the picture windo.

Yeah just heard that as far north as Atlanta could see 8" of rain.
Son is in Orlando, they cancelled classes Thursday but he thinks it will be fine.
We have evacuation order now…so off we go to our friends house again…
Latest forecast looks like it will stay mostly on the gulf side, not encroach too much in the middle.
Don’t know where you live on the West coast. Years ago, used to stay at Treasure Island a lot of times.

I live in the Outer Banks of NC so we’re watching storms all the time. What we notice when a TS or Hurr is out there, Home Depot and Lowes start showing their plywood ads on the Weather channel!
Our little house had a picture window so dad had the plywood thing in the garage and set it up if a hurricane was imminent. The smaller windows got taped

The center will be west of Cedar Key but they will still get lots of wind and rain. Flooding is their biggest concern.

We and your daughter are looking at lots of rain and tropical storm wind levels mostly tomorrow. Predicting tons of electrical outages.
That is why my kid wanted the east coast. Less likely to get hit.

I will take the Gulf over the Atlantic any day…even with the possibility of hurricanes…
